An Editorial Portrait Project Celebrating the Beauty of Pregnancy


Pregnancy is one of life's most extraordinary seasons, a time of quiet anticipation, incredible strength, and beautiful transformation.

The Light & Maternity Series is a signature creative portrait project dedicated exclusively to expecting mothers. Inspired by editorial fashion and fine art portraiture, this series embraces simplicity, allowing light, form, and emotion to tell your story.


Rather than elaborate gowns or intricate sets, we'll create timeless portraits using intentional lighting, elegant posing, and artistic composition. This is an opportunity to celebrate your pregnancy in its most authentic and beautiful form.

The Vision


For this creative series, I'm looking to create a collection of minimalist maternity portraits that focus on:



  • Beautiful studio lighting
  • Elegant silhouettes
  • Editorial inspired posing
  • Soft movement and genuine emotion
  • Artistic shadows and highlights
  • Timeless black & white imagery
  • Creative angles and close-up storytelling
  • Clean, uncluttered compositions


Each session is designed as a collaboration, resulting in one-of-a-kind portraits that are both modern and timeless.

Who I'm Looking For


I'm looking for expecting mothers who:



  • Are between 28–37 weeks pregnant
  • Love clean, timeless, editorial-inspired imagery
  • Are comfortable being guided through posing
  • Are open to creative lighting and artistic direction
  • Are willing to sign a model release allowing images to be used for my portfolio, website, and marketing


Wardrobe


This series is centered around simplicity and personal style.

You're welcome to bring your own clothing that reflects the vision of the project.

Beautiful options can include:


  • Fitted knit dresses
  • Simple slip dresses
  • Bodysuits (neutral tones preferred)
  • Bra & panty sets (minimal, structured, or lace)
  • Baggy jeans
  • Oversized white button-down shirts
  • Jeans paired with a simple bralette
  • Neutral lounge sets
  • Soft cashmere or knit sweaters
  • Minimal black or white monochrome outfits
  • Sheer layering pieces or lightweight robes
  • Off-the-shoulder or strapless tops
  • Any colorful pieces that feel intentional and aligned with your personal style
  • Subtle sparkling or textured pieces (sequins, shimmer, or metallic accents kept minimal and elegant)

As a thank you for participating in The Light & Maternity Series, you’ll receive:


  • 8 artistically retouched digital portraits
  • Each image delivered in both Color & Black and White
  • (16 final digital files total)


Please note: All image selections are curated and chosen by the photographer to align with the artistic vision of The Light Motherhood Series.

Investment


A $180 non-refundable creative session retainer is required to reserve your participation.


This is the only required payment for the experience. Professional makeup is available as an optional enhancement for $150. Additional edited images may be purchased for $50 each if you'd like to expand your final gallery.



As this is a creative project, I will personally select the images that best fit the artistic vision of The Light Maternity Series for inclusion in the project.

Session Availability


All sessions are thoughtfully scheduled on Mondays, Fridays, or Sundays between 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
